WHAT'S UP JAPAN, HRT

​

Goran Milić’s six-episode documentary series gives an insight into daily lives of people in Tokyo, the biggest city in the world, but also of those in Yokohama, Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima and several smaller tourist destinations along the Pacific coast. WHAT'S UP SJEVER – JUG, HRT

​

In the eight episodes of Goran Milć’s documentary series we get to know the countries of the European north and south. Climate, economy, religion and gastronomy are not the only differences between Scandinavian and Mediterranean countries. Each region has its own microcosmos of traditions and mentalities. The series revisits the known stereotypes and explores how globalisation, internet as a source of information and migrations south-north and, to a lesser extent, north-south have brought the mentalities closer and facilitated the acceptance of other rules, which was unimaginable before.

SAFE TRAVELS, HRT

​

The six-episode documentary series analyses migrations in the past and today. We meet people that left everything behind and ventured into the unknown, looking for a better life. The reasons behind those migrations could be war economic or social hardship, love and many others. The series follows migrants on their insecure, unpredictable and difficult journey and tells us how they cope with obstacles in their way. We learn if they have found the place to call home.

WHAT'S UP ISRAEL, HRT

​

Goran Milić’s crew portrays Israel in six episodes. Since its founding, the country has managed to establish itself as a global power, despite the lack of natural resources and tense relations with its neighbours. We get to know the country and its long history of oppression, pogroms, and forceful military population transfers, but we also learn about their resistance and wars with neighbours. For four millennia Israel has been developing its culture and creating a recognisable national and religious identity.

WHAT'S UP PARIS, LONDON, BERLIN, HRT

The eight episodes of the documentary series tell stories from Paris, London and Berlin. We dive into their history, get to know their present and share their plans for the future. Goran Milić and his crew take us on a 6000-kilometre journey through three European countries with similar population size and political and economic circumstances, but with very different history, culture and ethnic composition.

WHAT'S UP AMERICA, HRT

In his new five-episode series Goran Milić takes us on a virtual journey. We see how America battles the Coronavirus pandemics and learn about civil unrest and presidential elections that tore the USA apart. Leading entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors and artists share with us their vision of the future.

LIVE MONUMENTS: THE TRAIL OF THE HORSES, HRT

​

Ever since the Croats came to their homeland, there has been a strong connection between people and horses. They were partners in wars, conquests, and trades, as well as on journeys. Through four episodes we learn about the role of horses in Croatian history and meet the Lipizzans, proud horses of Slavonian plains, and other native species like the Posavecs, Croatian Coldbloods and Međimurje horses, the last guardians of pastures and tradition. The show follows the trails of those horses and tells us about horse breeding and the role of horses in the future.

VINKO KUŽINA'S RADIO DAYS, HRT

The documentary is dedicated to a hardworking, modest man, one of the founders of the Croatian Radio New York and its president. He never sought fame or glory, nor did he expect any gratitude. DON'T TELL ANYONE, HRT SEASON TWO: 12 EPISODES

Don’t tell anyone is a show for teenagers featuring a young girl Helena, who has moved from Našice to Zagreb with her parents. The series follows her life and her relationship with the parents as she tries to fit in the new school and make new friends. Helena’s videoblogs give valuable insight into her world and lives and problems of teenagers today, such as alcoholism, opioid consumption on daily basis, wild partying, gadget addiction, consumerism, homosexuality, sex at school, anti-social behaviour and bullying.
